Simon Bussell

As our Chief Commercial Officer, Simon’s focus is on growing BKL through mergers and acquisitions.

Working closely with our CEO Lee Brook and other senior leadership colleagues, Simon acts as BKL’s ambassador to other businesses who may be ready for the next stage in their journeys. This covers the accountancy sector, BKL’s key sectors (financial services, property & construction) and beyond. Through these conversations, together we explore these opportunities and their mutual benefits: strategic, financial and cultural.

Throughout his career, Simon has specialised in business strategy and growth. He has over 25 years’ experience in marketing and BD at professional services firms; he has built on this with an MBA qualification.

Simon joined BKL as a director in 2016, where he attends BKL Board meetings and chairs our Operational Board. In helping to drive BKL’s organic growth, his projects have included the launch of our outsourced CFO service BKL Advance and the development of our forthcoming IT consultancy service.

Simon is also proactive on BKL’s behalf within the UK B Corp community – where he co-chairs the marketing working group – and within our global membership association AGN International.
