Terry started in tax in 1972, developing his skills in the Capital Taxes Office of the former Inland Revenue before leaving in 1988 to join the capital and estate planning division of a substantial City firm. He has been with BKL since 1996.
Terry’s expertise encompasses inheritance tax, wills and probate work. He is also expert in the legal, administrative and taxation issues that arise in respect of trusts, both UK and overseas, and their uses in tax planning.
Terry is a long-standing member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and vice chair of its City of London branch. He also lectures widely on private client matters and is a frequent contributor to the professional press.
