Consultation over property funds

The Government is to consult on rule changes that could reopen the door for pension investors to hold residential property in their retirement funds.

In a surprise announcement in the Budget, the Chancellor said he was exploring changes to pension investment rules to encourage the conversion of unused commercial properties in town centres for residential use.
