You will be motivating and providing on the job training for junior team members.

We are highly ambitious in the types of client we advise. The client base you will be working on is challenging and interesting. We work with directors, entrepreneurs, high-growth businesses and high net worth individuals. Sectors we are strongly represented in are property, technology and digital businesses, hospitality and farms & estates.

We are committed to developing your wider interpersonal and professional skills. We continue to support your growth through additional professional qualifications, development programmes, a range of work opportunities and careers guidance.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates who are ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and have at least three years of experience in audit & accounts. Experience in corporate finance is not essential, you will be given on the job training. You are IT literate, ideally with experience of paperless audit and tax software systems, such as Caseware and Alphatax.

Our modern Cambridge office in Royston has an inspiring work environment in a rural location. As the office is not accessible by public transport, you must hold a full driving licence and have the use of a car. During the course of this year, our office will be relocating to Trumpington Enterprise Quarter.

Rethinking accountancy: bright trainees required

Shared journey. Joint effort.

Working together isn’t just more effective, it’s also more rewarding. By collaborating we see our clients flourish, our communities thrive and our business succeed. We work together to make a difference. Here’s your opportunity to do the same.

The opportunity

We’re excited to announce that we’re now accepting applications for our trainee intake in August 2019, both in our London and Cambridge offices.

In our London office, we have opportunities for AAT training followed by either ACA or ACCA depending on your specialisation.

(We’ve used quite a few abbreviations there. AAT is the Association of Accounting Technicians; ACA is Associate Chartered Accountant; ACCA is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.)

All training will be provided on an apprenticeship scheme.

Whatever subjects you’ve studied, being bright, professional, and a clear communicator is what matters to us.

We like willingness to be challenged, to be inspired and to collaborate. We also value energy and determination.

Official training

We’ll provide structured development on audit, outsourcing, accounts and tax, IT training delivered by our own experts and the best external practitioners. We work closely with Kaplan, whose apprenticeship training encompasses leading online learning technologies, award-winning study materials and highly experienced tutors.

What we look for

You will be expected to develop and deliver technical excellence, which means you’ll need the qualities that this will demand: qualities that set you apart from your peers. You need to be able to study and to advance your thinking. We’re open to how you demonstrate this. Traditionally it’s done through academic results, but that doesn’t have to be the case. Feel free to surprise us!
