AN EVENING WITH...

In our Evening With… series, a variety of BKL clients have been joining us to chat about their careers and what they’ve learned about life, leadership and business.

On this page you can watch all the recordings so far and find details of our future guests.

Claude Littner

Claude is well-known as a leading business executive, former Chief Executive of Tottenham Hotspur FC and from The Apprentice. He shared his wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, what he’s learned and his guidance for anyone wanting to make a difference in business.

Very entertaining and insightful

Excellent, honest, very interesting and really well done

I would go as far as to say: best Zoom we have watched!

Nick Starr CBE

In conversation with Myfanwy Neville on 27 April 2021

Nick Starr was Executive Director of the National Theatre from 2002-14 alongside Nicholas Hytner (NT Director 2003-15). Together they founded London Theatre Company, opening the innovative Bridge Theatre in 2017. In the past nine years, Nick has received Tony Awards, a special Olivier Award and been made CBE.

Nick talked about his experience as a director and chairman, and how The Bridge has responded to the theatre world’s highly challenging year.

Very interesting

Chris Hughton

In conversation with Jeff Hartstone on 17 June 2021

Chris has had a long and successful career in football. This includes nearly 400 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur FC, and later 14 years as a coach there; two LMA Manager of the Year awards; and 53 caps as a player for the Republic of Ireland, after his debut as their first black player at the age of 20. In 2020 he became manager of Nottingham Forest FC.

Chris spoke about experience as a player, coach and manager, what he’s learned about teamwork and leadership, and his unique insights into national and international football.

If people didn’t gain a wonderful insight on how to improve their managerial skills, I would be amazed. Well done on a wonderful webinar
