BKL trainee gets top tax marks
A trainee accountant at North London chartered accountants and business advisers Berg Kaprow Lewis LLP recently achieved the top marks in the country in her taxation exams.
Heather Brownscombe is currently taking her ACA papers from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and secured the joint-highest mark in the country for the Tax paper.
She was awarded an Order of Merit from the organisation for her efforts, as well as the Little Prize, named after Leo T Little, a former head of the ICAEW and editor of Accountancy magazine, which is given to the student receiving the best marks in their tax papers each year.
BKL training partner David Landau said: “Heather is very deserving of her award and I’m sure her success will be an inspiration to the many other trainees we have here who are studying for their accountancy qualifications.
“Heather’s excellent tax knowledge can only be of benefit to herself and the firm and she deserves our congratulations.”
