Keeping you informed

Keeping in touch with our clients is a key part of our business service.  We aim to keep you up to date with the information that will help you run your business and finances efficiently and effectively and to draw your attention to the main opportunities and risks that present themselves.  We have grouped our newswires into three services, which we describe below.

Africa

Africa is our monthly general newswire.  Why Africa?  Well, classicists will recognize the quotation “Ex Africa semper aliquid novi” (“There is always something new coming out of Africa”) which we hope summarises the newswire.  It covers a range of financial, tax and business matters and is available free of charge to clients.  To receive Africa please contact us: to see past items click here.

CashFlash

Occasionally things come up which need urgent attention and which simply will not wait until the next monthly edition of Africa.  It doesn’t happen often but when it does it’s important.  So CashFlash is our “newsflash” service.  It’s irregular and can cover anything of an urgent nature whether it concerns a tax change, a financial opportunity, an imminent change of law or practice or anything else which may demand your immediate attention.

Because the matters covered in CashFlash are inevitably transitory and rapidly out of date we haven’t posted any recent CashFlashs on our website.  To sign up for CashFlash click here.

BrassTax

BrassTax® is our long-established newswire aimed principally at tax and finance professionals.  It aims to deliver bite-sized snippets of tax information which we think are likely to be of value to anyone whose day-to-day work involves the tax issues affecting owner managed businesses.  Recipients include accountants, solicitors and finance directors.

Sometimes a BrassTax® piece may be inspired by an HMRC press release, court case or tribunal decision - but just as often by a planning point or pitfall which has cropped up in our day-to-day work and which we think warrants sharing more widely.  We think it must be filling a need: you will come across BrassTax® items quoted (with our full blessing, of course) in leading professional journals like Taxation, ICAEW Taxline, and Accounting Web. But our clients get it first!
