Accountants Scoop 'Firm of the Year' Prize
North London accountancy firm Berg Kaprow Lewis (BKL) is celebrating after becoming the first-ever winner of the UK200Group's 'Firm of the Year' award.
The Finchley-based practice has been a member of the association of independent accountancy and lawyer firms for over 20 years as one of its longest-standing members, and was chosen as the winning firm by a panel of independent judges, headed by Dr Mike Kearsley from the Worshipful Company of Marketors.
Member firms were invited to submit an entry setting out how they made the most of UK200Group membership by, for example, attending group events, contributing to its activities and using membership to their own commercial advantage.
BKL partner Brian Berg said: "As members of the group, we've benefited from various training events and courses, enjoyed access to the expertise of fellow members and the group's Prime Partners, and ensured our standards are maintained and raised by taking part in the group's annual external review.
"In turn, we've been able to offer our expertise to the group, particularly on the tax consultancy side where we've run seminars, offered advice to fellow members and provided comment on the group's behalf to the media.
"UK200Group membership has been an important part of BKL's activities for a number of years, and we're delighted and honoured to have been chosen as the first-ever Firm of the Year."
