Accounts & Audit Senior

Your opportunity

Due to the growth of our Cambridge office, we are currently recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Senior to join our team of experts.

In this role, you will contribute to the provision of year-end accounting, audit and taxation compliance to a wide range of clients, working within a team of trainees, qualified staff and partners. You will be motivating and providing on the job training for junior team members.

The client base you will be working on is challenging and interesting. We work with everyone from freelancers and ultra high net worth individuals and trusts to businesses with a turnover of up to £100 million, and families with wealth well beyond that. Sectors we are strongly represented in are property, farms and family estates, technology and digital businesses and hospitality.

Our corporate finance team has a strong reputation in the Cambridge market, achieving great results for raising finance and selling businesses. As part of our team you will have the opportunity to work on these projects.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates who are ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and have at least three years of experience in Accounts & Audit. You are a clear communicator with strong commercial skills, an inquisitive mind and are able to develop good working relationships with clients. You are IT literate, ideally with experience of paperless audit and tax software systems, such as Caseware and Alphatax.

Our modern Cambridge office in Royston has an inspiring work environment in a rural location. As the office is not accessible by public transport, you must hold a full driving licence and have the use of a car. Parking is available directly outside the office.

Company Secretarial Assistant

Your opportunity

This role will provide a full range of support to the Company Secretarial Team including maintenance and update of statutory books using the Coact database, preparation of standard compliance documentation, taking appropriate action with key statutory correspondence received within the firm and maintaining statutory registers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, self-motivated and professional individual with aspirations to develop a career in Company Secretarial.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates who are educated to at least Degree standard (or equivalent) and are an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators or studying towards this qualification. You will have knowledge of Coact / Blueprint and be comfortable with technical support on company secretarial matters, including detailed working knowledge of company law. You will have excellent attention to detail, client care and communication skills and be comfortable working independently for extended periods.

Charity Audit Senior – North London, N3 Start date: As soon as possible

We are currently recruiting for a Charity Audit Senior who possesses strong auditing and technical skills. The role will be primarily audit focused, however it will also involve accounts, tax and advisory assignments.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be ACA / ACCA Qualified or equivalent
  • Have excellent communication and commercial skills, being able to develop good working relationships with clients.
  • Have experience in an Audit focused role. Experience of auditing charities is required for this role.
  • Be IT literate, ideally with experience of paperless audit and tax software systems, such as Caseware and Alphatax.

We would particularly like to hear from Audit Seniors who have knowledge and experience in auditing charities.

AAT Apprentice – Accountancy – North London, N3 Start date: September 2018

The opportunity

Are you interested in Accountancy?

If yes, then we can provide you with the opportunity to train towards your AAT exams, a recognised professional accountancy qualification, whilst gaining valuable on-the-job experience. We are now recruiting AAT Apprentices (Level 3 and 4) for our Outsourcing team to start as soon as possible.

What we’re looking for

You need to be able to study and develop your thinking. You could demonstrate this ability through qualifications. For apprenticeship roles you would normally have, or expect to gain:

  • 280 UCAS points or more
  • GCSE grades A to C
  • or the equivalent qualifications / alternative higher qualifications
