The BKL Business Challenge

Think more clearly about your business in half a day than you have done for a very long time…

When was the last time that you spent time dealing with the fundamental issues relating to your business, without any distractions, and in an environment that had been specifically designed to produce great outcomes?  There are some important decisions you have to make about your business, some options you’d love to explore, some issues you need to deal with. You know all this. But when did you last get the time to think?

The BKL Business Challenge gives you the framework to make that time, and make the best use of that time. In just half a day you’ll think more clearly, more creatively and in a more focused way than you have all year. And you won't be doing it alone. The Business Challenge is a facilitated process run by our consultants Howard Graff and Jeff Hartstone. Their role will be not just to prod, challenge and force you to clarify your own thinking, but also add in their own ideas based on decades of experience in business and also consulting with firms of all shapes and sizes.

They’ll be tough on you – it is a challenging session – but the process is also very creative and positive. You’ll find your own answers to problems that currently seemed blurred or intractable, you’ll feel renewed confidence in the decisions you’re taking, and you’ll feel energised by the new possibilities you can see.

How do you move your business more quickly in the right direction?

No doubt you don’t have to think very hard to find areas you’d like to cover. Most businesses have issues that are difficult to resolve. These are some of the issues we find clients grappling with:

  • Strategic direction;
  • Building a management team;
  • How to win against the competition;
  • How to grow and how to manage growth profitably;
  • Should you be in new markets or thinking differently about what you’re offering?
  • You’re at a fork in the road – which way should you go?
  • Succession planning and wider personnel issues – are you climbing the right ladder?
  • You may have lost some of your pizzazz. How can you get energised again?

We’ll look at what you think the challenges are. And we may suggest some others and then perhaps together we may identify what are the real underlying issues.

We’ll help you come up with ideas, whilst suggesting some of our own, and most powerfully, spark ideas between us all. Sometimes these sessions really fly when people think creatively as a group. We’ll also inject a dose of reality – what might work, what may not. We have worked with many different businesses in many different fields and have some understanding of the sort of strategies that are likely to produce results for a talented management team.

The result: real solutions and ideas you can start implementing right away.

No drilling down, gaining traction, paradigm shifting, repurposing, touching base, ramping up or operationalising.

This is what Business Challenge is not. It’s not management gobbledegook. It’s not pseudo-scientific, trying to impress you with a whole load of management consultancy jargon. It doesn’t involve a “clever” computer program where you answer questions and it spits out some generic platitudes. And at the end of it we promise that you won’t get a 2-inch-thick report, full of charts and graphs, which says nothing.

What you’ll get is an intensive, thought-provoking, stimulating three hour session and then a few pages, summarising what you and we think resulted from our conversation. In short, you’ll get something you can use, something of genuine value.

To book your session, call Howard Graff on 020 8922 9333 or email howard.graff@bkl.co.uk. Do it today and by next week, your business could be running more quickly in the direction that you really want.

The cost of taking the Business Challenge?  Well, a better question is: what is it costing you not to take it?  We’ll quote you a fee before we meet.  Write us a cheque and leave it on the table.  If at the end of the meeting you don’t agree the Business Challenge is worth every penny – tear it up.  There’s no hidden catch and no small print.  No: really.  We’re that confident that you’ll enjoy the process and be pleased with the outcome.  Call us now.
